Good Advice for Workaholics

Are you a workaholic? Maybe you even take pride in that moniker and embrace it as evidencing a good work ethic.
If so, be sure to check out this great article by Karen Leland, titled 7 Worst Habits of Workaholics for some watercooler wisdom.

I probably am a workaholic. Well, I don't know if I am actually driving by wanting to do too much or what. It's not like I don't know that spending more time spread among different task will likely water down the completeness of each task. I warm people all the time not to over commit. Yet I continuously find myself with too much to do. I don't know does that qualify as being a workaholic.

I should be working on my website right now, but I am off in la la land commenting on being a workaholic.

What am I going to do with me?

I think I do things to get a break from doing other things. I work all day (driving a truck). After I get finished driving then I work on my website about driving a truck. Then when I get home I work on editing video from driving and about driving a truck.

My friends tell me I need help. They say when I get home I am supposed to stop working. I say I am just paying my dues now so that I can relax a little later.

Maybe I will find a healthy balance very soon. The sad thing is none of these task has a finish point. Everything is ongoing and could last til infinity. That's really not so good!

Thinks for the space to vent. lol

  2. Hervy, thanks for your post! You are not alone, and I find myself doing the same things. Since the work never seems to end, I find that it's important to disconnect from the computer and phones every once in a while and go outside to a park - even if just for a few minutes a day! We'd love to see your website, if you want to post the link. Safe travels to you in your journeys!
